The bouquet on this is outstanding. Blue/black fruits, a hint of smoked meat, lavender, mint and spice. Slight flick of heat. Black cherry, brine, licorice, cedar on the palate. Linear acidity and smooth tannin. Good finish too. F’n solid! Perfect for V-Day steaks.

A new world entry to our taste down. Great body and structure. Needs more time.

2010 60-SY 30-GR 10-MV great wine, always some heat but dark, meaty, blackberry, some licorice, nice tannin and still opening up after 3 hours.

Big, dense GSM from Paso. Very young and tightly wound but already shows wonderful fruit and aromatics.

So much pepper!!! Really fascinating, but I think it needed a lot of air before I was enjoying it.

2013 Vintage. 15.4% Alcohol. 48% Syrah, 32% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre. A SGM this year. Confirming our cellar aging of Torrin wines, this is now in a sweet spot. Yum.
