Madia Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Nov 15, 2020. Welcome (back) to Tucson. Caitlin brought when delivering lots of wine she bought for me. Easy drinking, medium bodied. Have I ever had a Montepulciano d’Abruzzo that I didn’t like? Reliably enjoyable.

Absolutely better than $9.99

Light bodied but complex.

Meh ish. Not really our style. Actually better day2.

Tons of tannins. Blackberry, cherry, astringent. A big wine.

Nice but seems light. Juicy. Dark berries. Cherry. Astringent.

Definitely smells like a montepulciano. Leather and fruit galore. Drinks full bodied and succulent with a perfect balance of sweetness, tannins, and acid.

Light, bright red, a bit too sweet on its own, better with sharp cheese and well seasoned steak.

Much more bitter than I would have expected. Mellows a bit as it sits, but not enough. Not for me.

Nothing special
