This shows a tad too much new oak, and is also quite ripe (14.5%), so that while the wine is good, it presents too much like a modern California wine (of course with some different grapes, Portuguese) — just too “modern”, could have come from anywhere, for me.

Multi-varietal blend, elegant, concentrated, bold but not overwhelming. Paired well with duck.
