This is amazing - on the nose you get a damp concert barrel room. Deep dark fruit with dark chocolate and big grip with tannins that are semi-eternal. I under rated this last time - this is my wine of the year (so far). No wonder Parker loved this. Cheers

Darker berries. Spices. Nice fullness across the mid palate and on to the lengthy finish. Fine grained tannins and touches of earth and gravel linger at the end.

This 2017 is one of the best 2017 Napa Cabs I have tasted. Lovely floral (violets) and delicately perfumed fruit. High ripe tannins. Medium(+) body and finish. The 2016 was strange, showing VA, varnish, lactic notes, and high alcohol on the palate and nose. 2015 and 2017 are outstanding but 2016 not so much.

Curiously medium body even though the color is deep. On the nose and palate, chocolate, terra-cotta earth and meaty. #cabernertsauvignon #napaterroirisreal

Still youthful but integrated. Blackberry and lead pencil combo that is so impressive. Vineyard is in a very impressive neighborhood.

This ‘14 is much more fruit-driven than the minerally ‘11. Tons of red and black fruits, licorice, cedar and a touch gravelly on the long finish. As good as this is now, I think it will benefit from a few years in bottle.

The nose offers leather, tobacco and blackberry jam. Red fruits dominate the palate but there is a clear mineral touch to this wine that is stronger than any Tor wine I’ve had (could also be reflective of the vintage). Apparently the soil at Tierra Roja vineyard is very iron rich and I think that comes through in the wine. There is still an abundance of fruit, but this may skew a bit more old world in profile than most in the lineup. This wine is very balanced with soft tannins and low acidity. While I really like this, I am more a fan of the vintages that followed this.

It needs time in bottle.

Silky, fine grained tannins. Loads of red and blue fruits. Fine acidity. Long finish with hints of spice, violets, and touches of cedar. Drank great for 4 days in a row.
