Definitely mountain fruit. Dark blue fruit, slight anise notes, plush texture, and some tannins grip on the finish. Not shy but very balanced.

Aug 25th, 2017Nice full bodied wine. Great tannin structure and long finish. A bit of bacon fat on the nose and rich ripe cassis on the palate. High alcohol content, but well enough integrated to not feel it.

Great 2012 Howell Mountian cab from TOR. Big 2012 fruit, cherry, blackberry, cassis, and vanilla. Big intergraded tannins and very smooth. Dark red (cherry) in color. High viscosity and medium high alcohol. Fell in love with Cimarossa Howell Mountain all over again.
