Bacharacher Hahn Kabinett Riesling

Damn. Aged kabinett is the best. Floral, petrol, wool, rich fruits. Rich, buttery finish.

Amazingly alive and fresh. Tastes like it's only about 6 years old with just a hint of petrol. Terrific sugar/acid balance with citrus and floral notes. Can easily go another 5 years.

I didn't expect this wine so good. Nice nose with aromas of ripe peach, baked apple and a bit of vanilla crescent. Medium bodied with a zippy acidity & good finish including a nice mineral aftertaste.
I'm always saying that this category of German Riesling is still one of the hidden treasures & a bang for the buck.

The 2013 exceeds expectations

So fine on a sunny Healdsburg day

from plush/ripe pear and dark wet stones to prickly beguiling savory spiciness, a kabinett just leaving the careless abandon of youth, yumyumyum

Waxy and floral up front, umami in the middle, finishes sweet and oily, it’s good but funky (vintage 08 in 2018)

Grassy green color, elderflower on the nose.
