Inexpensive bottle but tasty and full of flavor and depth. Medium acidity, mostly round, medium body too. Doesn’t linger long but tastes great. Dark cherries and vanilla primarily, some plum and raisin after.

Sipping Fine Wine

Ruby with aromas of simple red fruits and herbs. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with earthy herbs, vivid acidity. Fine tannins, medium finish ending with fruit character.

3.3. A very nice Valpolicella, with a very smooth taste and finish. The 2021 was on sale for $17.99, regularly $21.99. The 2019?now seems to be out of stock. It was excellent.

Cherry tobacco, almonds, medium acid. Very nice! The taste doesn’t quite live up to the wonderful bouquet.

Nose: yeast, flowers, barnyard, mild strawberry. (smells “Italian” for sure). Taste: medium weight, red fruits, mild oak (no vanilla, just wood), some nuts, a little charcoal. Tastes a lot less yeasty and floral than it smells. It’s good, but not worth the $16 I paid. 87.
