Tommasi
Rafael Valpolicella Classico Superiore Corvina Blend
Naked: Smooth and not as dry as others from this region. Nose has a hint tabaco, finish is jammy black currant and blackberry.
Paired with steak: here the tannins are more pronounced. The wine is sweeter with food. Makes that berry taste pop. Again not as dry as others from this region. This wine cleanses the palate very well

Dec 6th, 2020Loads of cherry notes with drying tannins on the finish. Kept getting better as it opened up. Great date night wine.

Dec 7th, 2019This bottle was a gift from my girlfriend’s sister when I visited them in Verona. A phenomenal wine that I drank back in Edmonton after a date and transported me back to the wonderful nights and the awkward encounters. I recommend Italy over the wine but that being said... if you can’t get to Italy, have Italian wine in our arctic climes...
