Found an ‘11 in my cellar. Dark Ruby color with aromas of dark berry fruit. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and raspberry, with spice notes. Fine tannins, medium finish ending with an earthy mineral taste. Still ok but getting tired! Good value.

A good year for this wine. Unbelievably inconsistent year to year. Cheap

Enticing nose and rich colour. Somewhat musty palate and finish died quickly. Despite that a pleasant wine for such things as sautéed wild mushrooms, mild pizzas, etc

Fruit-forward. Dried cherry, red berry, black tea, dried oregano, subtle tobacco. Prevalent tannin, nice finish though slightly reminiscent of cough syrup in the aftertaste. Paired nicely with 18-month Gouda.

Tommasi Viticoltori is a family viticultural company founded in 1902 and located in Pedemonte village in the heart of Valpolicella Classico region. A blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon from a single-vineyard site called Rompicollo, which benefits from a Southern exposure. Dark Ruby color with aromas of berry fruit. The palate shows cherry and blackberry with sweet herb spice, slight notes of raisins on soft tannins. The finish is medium with an earthy mineral taste. Tremendous value.
