A leftover bottle from my brother in law. This worked really well with last Tuesday’s pasta and a lot more enjoyable than I remember the 2012 vintage being. There is was really delicious red and dark fruit yet unquestionably CC with the dried earth and herbs. More than serviceable.

Nose of tart cherries and earth. Not terribly dry. Good acid, salivating. Cherries again, raspberry, dried oregano, strawberries, some funk. Classic. Enjoying with Sweet Tomato pizza, plenty of garlic. Yum! From Colonial Spirits
