Chianti Sangiovese Blend

The historic low ratings are interesting. Would be a great wine to try a vertical tasting because currently they are using some French (I'm fairly sure sure it's French) oak that really gives it some pleasant aromas and a fine granular structure.
Certainly not a Classico - this is the new face/taste of Sangiovese from Chianti.

Mattias Restaurant

Medium ruby in color; cherries, raspberries, and dried herbs on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like sour cherries, cranberries, and minerals with a long finish.

Reasonable “Pizzaria-Style” Chianti. Blend of Sangiovese and Caniolo. Aromas of bright red cherry and strawberry with a slight floral note. Pallet is especially red berry fruit forward with a noticeable cranberry hint. Smooth texture. Pretty basic but quite drinkable.

A classic chianti. Would probably be better with an Italian meal.

Easy Chianti not heavy bodied, medium tannins, smooth, medium acidity

Good light inexpensive wine

Light. Spicy

Fruity, smooth, delicious. Great summer red.

Note bad for a $12 bottle
