It's balanced, but it doesn't encapsulate what people ultimately are looking for in a Malbec

Much better than I expected. Nice fruit, great tannin, some acid, with a touch of earth. One of the best Malbecs I've had for this price.

Hey, for $11 at Costco, this is pretty decent.

Black Cherry, leathery, tobacco-y nose. Smooth and drinkable with black cherry notes. Screw top bottle, uncommon in Argentina.

Medium bodied with a lot of jam and dark berries upfront; not a lot after that but a pleasant, straightforward Malbec. Would be a nice burger pairing but doesn't stand up as well to darker red meats.

14% booze, about $10, sample. Cheap malbecs are a dime a dozen, and this ain't one worth writing home about.
