Thomas Fogarty
Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Grown literally right by our house. Noticed it is almost 1% lower in alcohol from '12 to '13, hence giving it another try. Serious Cabernet. Black cherry, currant, green pepper, cedar plank, vanilla, TANNIC. Very lean and dry in a good way. Classic and proper SC mountains cab.

Dec 24th, 2016Loved this wine, well worth the wait in my cellar since 2009. The wine is still young and has at least a few more years, yet it is now smooth, balanced, round and pleasurable. Color is deep black, no signs of age, nose is sexy and smooth like velvet, with licorice, violets, black currents, light mint and sweet chocolate, body is full with round caressing tannins, lovely mild balancing acidity and a long delicious finish. A true pleasure. My first from this winery, not my last! My score 90, drink to 2018

Mar 5th, 2016It might be too old. Doesn’t taste right.

Oct 27th, 2018Heavy licorice smell and taste initially. Now almost 15 years old and nicely smoothed. Retaining deep purple color. July 2017.
