Been 2 years+ since I’ve had this. Nose is gorgeous now. Nose is honeyed almonds and steel wool. Nuttiness as well. Sense of richness but also super umami notes. Chenin is a major umami grape. Confectionary honeycomb on the nose. So gorgeous and such clarity. Really a knockout nose. Palate is clear, vivid and has terrific, knock you on your ass acids. Tangy and also really leaves an imprint on the palate. Fantastic purity and presence. Really really long. Brown sugar on the nose now. A sick sick wine. Maybe best chenin I’ve had from Michel Chèvre.

Jun 18th, 2021Super sick serious Chenin. Nose of beeswax, almonds, superb minerality, hint of honey, so deep, concentrated and super deep with intense acidity and explosiveness. So pure and fresh. Clean. Lanolin. Superb texture. Juicy and so so clean. Long and lingering. Superb structure and length. Lingers forever. Salty finish. Huge wine. Massively structured and also a hint of lime. Sick.

Loads of juicy mouthy watering acidity. Has a nutty aspect and some sea spray. Has a just a little bit of lemon head candy after the other shell has dissolved.

HT @Lyle Fass ....love this wine. Beautiful mineral and herbs on the nose, fantastic lemon and stone on the palate, with loads of dry extract. So yummy!
