Vineyard Selection Dry Tokaji Furmint
Whow, this is power in the feather like container, softened by the oak from new barrels within 6 months, but it's so gently oaked. Clean, mineral and soft like a silk. I feel slightly baked apple mixed with a hint of tropical fruits freshness and acidity (mango driven?), flowers and peach on the nose. Very good Furmint, but it's not really dry - I would say off-dry.

The palate is a model of balance. It's showing the usual acid drive I associate with that varietal but there is additional matter and complexity that makes it better than usual super acid driven examples of it. Some honey, some hasselnut notes all along, a bit of a peary note and that peary juice, slightly grainy texture. Some grip in the rear before a long, complex and lovely finish with pear, honey, hasselnut and that vanilla touch that goes on for a long while. That's a superb wine in my book!
