The Prisoner Wine Company
The Prisoner Cabernet Sauvignon
Not at all my thing, but I get why it’s some people’s thing. Baked cherry pie. Concentrated and giving. 15.5% abv.

2 people found it helpfulJul 9th, 2021This is a blend, nothing less from Prisoner: Cab with Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, Petite Sirah and splash of Charbono, aged for 15 months in French and American oak (55% new). Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, cedar and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with notes of vanilla, oak and cinnamon. Fine tannins, long finish, lively acidity, nice mouthfeel ending with fruit and spice. Nice!

I really like The Prisoner wines, and this is no exception. Have a good 8-10 years ahead.
