2021 vintage. Last tasted 6.21.23 (9.5). Bigger body then, medium body now. Lost some weight and underway on the move into tea flavors and earth impressions. Great then. Nice now. Best version of this just might be in the next 2-3 years. Pity there won't be any bottles left on my end (sad face). 6.25.26.

2023 vintage. Light-medium/medium body. Fairly aromatic with oodles of red berries and cracked black pepper at the onset. The cracked black pepper gave way rather quickly to white pepper and white sage. The raspberry, strawberry, cranberry and boysenberry jam kept on rocking. After one hour open, a slightly astringent but pleasant, Mormon Tea plant + black tea influence + a little pomegranate tartness buttressed by some clove notes. Really really pretty like the previous vintage (10.30.24-9.0) but with much more stuffing. The 2021 effort (6.21.23-9.5) was fab as well but bigger, earthy smoky, heavier and without the delicate intricacies of this 2023 vintage. This is currently drinking like it has 5-7 years of age under the belt. 1.6.26.

2022 vintage. Tasted twice in the last 3 months with consistent notes. Light-medium body. Expressive raspberry and cola nut nose. Drop some strawberry and hint of cracked black pepper into the punch bowl as well. Nice and on the prettier side. Lacking the total palate focus and chokehold it showed with the 2021 vintage. 10.30.24.

2021 vintage. Spicefest. Medium/Medium-heavy body. Ups the ante from the Fe Ciega ever so slightly. Love love the single-vineyard Pinots and Syrahs. 6.21.23.
