Deeply black fruited, began a little disjointed with a chocolate velvety start that slipped into an aniseed/star anise finish that tasted a bit tart - 92. Second night and fine cloudy tannin came up with a lovely savoury, mildly spiced long finish. Notably resolved from day one. I didn’t plan on leaving some for the next night but would have missed it otherwise.

Good shiraz. Elegance and cool climate complexity. Ageing potential. Nice stuff. But yet again, pricing is ridiculous.
