Lion Tamer Napa Valley Red Blend
Full, almost sweet aroma of blue fruit, cocoa, & cigar. Big & bold. Medium-plus tannins. Velvety, lightly dry notes of blueberry, dark chocolate, tobacco, subtle vanilla bean, black currant, & plum. Not as lush as I normally drink, but still really lovely. Medium acidity.

Feb 22nd, 2019I like this one, good bright fruit without being too much raisin flavor. Good balance. The 2015 was rated highly but is not as good in my opinion, has less fruit more acids.

Dec 8th, 2018Deep, dark crimson with thin red edges. Bold nose of chocolate, stewed plums, black cherry, and floral notes. We all know about these seemingly kitchen sink blends where wineries toss in everything they can and pump it out but this ain’t that. Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Cab, Mourvèdre included but it’s half Malbec and that makes all the difference in the world. A big bold blend with a lot of kick but a high level of refinement, as well. In the mouth there’s more big fruits to go with chocolate mousse, plenty of oak, and dried herbs. Nice spice on the medium finish.

Sep 1st, 2018This was easy to drink, mellow and went well with a ribeye, but i think I actually need another bottle to figure out if I like it. Time to go to the store!

Jul 6th, 2018Recommended by Mel at West Central Wine. Mild aroma of blackberries. Definitely aeration is needed as it opens up. Mild tannins that crest in the middle.
