Here is a great Napa Cabernet for my Friday's Cabernet fix.

Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.

Fruity nose blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, eucalyptus, chocolates, spices, pencil lead, black pepper, leather, earth and metals.

Full bodied and rich, with medium acidity and nice legs

Dry on the palate and fruity, with blackberries, sweet cherries, black currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, tobacco, pencil lead, peppercorn, leather, smoke, chocolates and mocha.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a great Cabernet from Napa Valley. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food.
Showing nice complexity and mouthfeel.

Needs an hour to open up properly, but good right out of the bottle and good for parties.

Drinking nicely now and will be good in the next few years.

I paired it with beef tenterloin.

14.8% alcohol by volume.

This Napa Cabernet is very enjoyable. Balanced with nice complexity. Drinking nicely now, but will be better in a year or two.

Perfectly acceptable Cabernet from Napa. Nose full of dark chocolates and red fruits and sweet spice, mouth full of the same but with some of the pyrazine character coming through.

Time for my Friday's Cabernet fix.

Very nice color of deep purple with a purplish rim.

Nice nose of blueberries, cherries, chocolates, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, earth, tobacco, spices, peppercorn, mocha and pencil lead.

Medium bodied with medium acidity, nice legs and smooth.

Dry and fruity on the palate with sweet plums, blueberries, vanilla, licorice, cloves, earth, blackberries, chocolates, coffee, peppercorn and spices.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy pomegranates.

This is a nice Napa Cabernet, soft and smooth. Easy drinking and good for parties. A good sipping wine, and will also work well with food. Well balanced and approachable, with mild complexity, and a tangy finish that makes it interesting. I wish it would be a little bolder, though.

Needs an hour to open up. I had the 2011 vintage a while back, and this is way better.

A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petite Sirah, 7%
Malbec and 3% Petite Verdot. Aged in 25% new American Oak for 18 months.

14.8% alcohol by volume.
