Definitely a TRB wine - tonnes of fruit packed into a little bottle, but not showing a fruitbomb ripeness. Incredibly intense and concentrated - to be expected of that favored Calistoga fruit of his, reminding me a bit of Wallis Family Seraphim smacking you in the teeth with gritty tannin. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, with fresh aromas of blackberry and black plum, a bit of crushed rock, and bell pepper. The pallet is gritty and tight, exhibiting flavors of red apple skin, black currant, mocha, and an extreme grip to the finish. This wine either needs SEVERAL hours open to breath, or it needs 2 or 3 more years to relax before opening again.. excellent wine, but young.

A great wine. Great fruit but not a bomb. Well balanced with great mouth feel. Needs a serious decant though. Just kept getting better on day 2 & 3.

Way deep, concentrated and gorgeous. Pure creme de cassis, dark chocolate, graphite, and more. Out of magnum.

The new release has the richness of dark berry fruit you expect but with more balance via acid and tannin and also an intensity of aromatics not seen in the 2012

Big, but not too big. Rich dark fruit with a hint of crushed rock. Polished, good example of a Calisotga cab

Culty concentration, fruit and herby/spicy/oaky complexity. Really tasty and approachable.

Interesting wine. Needed a lot of air to open up. Was really disappointed day 1; so much better the next day. Nice flavor profile of red berries and blackberries with tannins that are now softening, but will continue to help this wine evolve. Too bad I only had 1 bottle
