Blind tasting: On first whiff I said "this smells like Ontario." The flavour suggests Pinot noir-esque minerality. But once I realized what is was, I was a bit disappointed that they had to use appassimento style to turn out a medium-bodied faux-Pinot. Still a good Ontario wine. But that's also the caveat.

Dry, oaky, lots of dark fruit, cherries, chocolate, delicious. Pairs great with smoked meat and duck confit.

Strawberry, cranberry, red licorice, dusty, vanilla, bakers chocolate

Medium dry, some acidity, medium body

XMAS gift from Scott. It was nice. Enjoyed on Courtney's 19th birthday.

This is the only Canadian red wine I have discovered I like

2013

Canadian wine doing Italian styles is a hit in my book. Best of both worlds. Easy drinking. There's no conspiracy here.

Nice surprise. Mellow, hint of fruit, good finish.

Nice wine. Went well with lamb shank and veal burger.
