Cab based blend. From Eastside Napa in the vaca foothills. Much drier than the Mayacamas to the west.
Amazing acidity here. this wine feels a little auyere, as if it will really improve with a bit of time in bottle. This feels Bordeaux inspired and should be great at the table, though I think I prefer the Oakville Merlot to the Cab.

Really enjoyed this bottle on the second night. Solidly structured with acidity and tannins to last years, it really opened up day 2 with big ripe plum, black and blueberry. Softened tannins just held together really well. Really enjoyed it.

Jun 9th, 2023With a little air time it opens up nicely. Black and red fruit, grippy tannins, oak, licorice, fig, vanilla, plum. Nice finish. Smooth mouthfeel.

Aug 7th, 2022First try of the ‘18. Fruit coming through nicely with some tight tannins. Needs a nice aeration now. I’ll leave the rest for another year plus. Black and red fruit, nice minerality.

Apr 2nd, 2022Same comments as before, except I’m gonna rate this bottle higher. Getting more blue fruit now, but the black and cassis is strong. Really kinda blew me away tonight. Fantastic wine!!

Mar 18th, 2022Medium ruby. Black and red fruited nose, lavender, floral. Black berry, cassis, gorgeous black fruit, vanilla, licorice, little blue fruit. Very nice! 2017 drinking very well with just a short decant.
