Almost like a top flight Cotes du Rhône Villages from, say, Beaumes de Venise, right until the end of the finish, whose high pH stoniness gives away its Walla Walla roots. Really nice black raspberry fruit, mouthfilling yet not heavy.

Nov 24th, 2018Very herbal. Menthol, oregano, dark fruit. Unusual but quite pleasing.

Oct 6th, 2018A predominately Grenache based Rhône blend. Kirsch and deep savory minerality on the nose. A bit floral too. Velvety soft and mouthfilling, with dark raspberryish kirsch fruit and a lengthy savory finish. The balance is impeccable. This is what Chateauneuf used to be like in the late 70s and early 80s, prior to the double whammy of Robert Parker and climate change. After a while, we started to get a smoky, ashy note like at the end of a cookout.
