Climat Les Charmes Morgon Gamay

It’s what you would expect from a decent Morgon.

This is an amazing value! Nose of earth, leather, baking spices and light fruit. Carbonic conversion is barely detectable and acts to draw out the fruit characteristics rather than to overwhelm the nose with candy. Palate has a nice dark berry dominance which balances the less fruit forward nose, tannins are supple and met with an equally supple acidity.

Nice after dinner wine outside in the hotel garden. Not too complex but all it needed to be.

Had with beef bourguignon. Not over powering, easy to drink.
