Full bodied with grainy tannins. Could have used some more acidity to balance the intense fruit. A small notch above good.

Had this at a tasting of ‘chill-able red wines’ all under 13.5% ABV. Smells like some Italian red wines. Cherry pies and curry powder on nose. Flavors are berries. Brambles. Lots of blackberry cobbler. Strange stuff in there. It’s kinda like amaro and apassimento style wines. Think it would just as good room temp as chilled.
