Suckling was able to get more than I did out of this. I found it very singular. There’s always tomorrow’s bottle.

No gas in the tank. Astringent. Tannin and acid dominate. Wood. Leather. Licorice. All fading.

2015 vintage…9.3 rated by Suckling so who am I to argue…but it’s arguable as the vino is mellow and tasty but not above a 9. After finishing off the bottle over 2-3 hrs watching Eddie Murphy in “Those People”, drinking right after opening…decision made - 8.9. Vintage tasted pretty balanced, smooth palate, medium bodied, flavorful, no acidity nor tannins oppressive. Perhaps too prosaic.

Drank 7+ years older than I expected from a 2012. Lush and enjoyable, but a bit disappointing.
