Amador County Barbera

Chocolaty and rich. Well structured, high altitude Barbera. Benefits from the diurnal swing, keeping the acids in check. A modern style done well.

Too earthy for me but not too bad.

Bright ruby, medium minus (2/5) concentration and staining, jammy cranberry, raspberry, blueberry, and mulberry. Some oak influence: smoke, nutmeg. Medium plus minerality: stones. Medium acidity, diminished tannin, medium (+) body.

Nice offering of Barbera from CA. Another good recommendation from folks at Wine Market. Paired nicely with manicotti.

This Barbera is jammy,with flavors of blackberry and ripe plum.

An excellent food wine, this paired nicely with gourmet pizza and asparagus , sporting fruit forward blueberry and cherry flavors.

Good Barbera. Medium bodied with a fruit forward nose. Enough tannins to notice them, opened up well.

Full of bright blueberries with a slightly tart finish.

Smooth and medium density wine, nicely balanced with a chewy walnut finish.
