Dec 31st, 2013Carmine color with aromatic incense, mixed berry, baked cherry, brown sugar and cedarwood aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied and well structured with a supple texture and wonderful acidity. It shows blackberry, blueberry, red and red currant flavors. Medium-long finish. Co-fermented with 5% Vioginer.

Enjoyed lining up this Syrah alongside another from the same vineyard under a different winemaker. Still fascinates me how fruit from the same area is so different from one winemaker to another, both being equally awesome

Jan 25th, 2021Much more European than expected. Blue fruits, violets, and earth. You can feel the whole cluster. Nicely mellowed tannins.
