Easily the most elaborately packaged wine of recent memory. Wood crate, tissue paper, wax top (+additional seal), instruction booklet, paint dipped, heavy glass bottle. Whew. But this is serious pug loan wine. Excellent stuff!

April 2015 Altura wine club--dense, straight forward palate delivers ripe blackberry, spicy blueberry, clove and black licorice alongside hearty tannins. It closes on a tobacco note. Great with roasted or grilled game (venison).
