Tastes like it has one foot in Bordeaux and one foot in Piemonte.

Crazy how fresh this tastes for a nearly 15 year old wine. 60/40 barbera/cab. Tart dark fruit, gamey, spicey mid weight wine. Feels like this still has a way to go. I have drank a ton of Italian wine and I’m still consistently surprised by it.

Ruby red. Intense ripened fruits, rose, pepper and chocolate. Medium body with delicate flavors supporting the nose and leaving a pleasant lingering finish on the palate. Good structure. Tasted from magnum. Not very typical international blend of Barbera 60% and CabS 40%. Vineyards in the heart of Barbaresco Commune. Vinification on skins, traditional, with 10 days maceration and complete MLF. Ageing in barriques for 28 months followed by 24 months in the bottle. Rating 4,1/5
