Crazy on the nose, wants to lean BDX’ish then back to new world. So intriguing! A multilayered wine revealing cassis, smoke, blackberry, incense and coffee notes through the entire palate. Silky smooth except for a slight spike in the tannins on the finish.

Looks like a heavily extracted wine in the glass. Nose is dominated with barrel toast.
On the palette, the wine is a touch gritty. Tannins are still prominent. Dark fruits at its core. Perhaps a touch over oaked, Immense depth on the mid palette, finishes with sweet cinnamon and overripe cherries. Needs more time in the bottle to relax a little more.
