An Amarone I can get behind. Not as massive as many. Despite its 11 years, the nose shows beautiful fruit, rich but not too pruney. Secondary notes of mahogany and leather. In the mouth, it’s got loads of port-like flavor in a full but not blowsey way. Ends long and dry. Still got some tannin, but it’s soft and well integrated. Nice job.

Tart black fruit, dried cranberry, chocolate covered cherry, baking spice and violet. M acid, m+ body, tannin and finish. A bit of Brett.

Dense but bright ruby red color with very nice aromas of strong black fruits, coffee, and tobacco. Full-bodied together with ripe blackberry, sweet resin, grilled ginkgo, and black pepper on the palate. Complex with smooth & firm tannins, solid texture, and nice long length on the finish. Like it a lot.
