It might not have the depth or complexity of Sassicaia, but Le Difese is certainly a nod to its more illustrious sibling with its silky texture, though without the body or intensity. Opened up in the glass. Tried via Coravin.

Not quite Sassicaia but a fraction of the price.

70/30 can/sang more Italian than Cabernet. Dry bay leaf, elegant, needs 2 more years to become interesting

Baby Sassicia - nice fruit and balance - the perfect everyday wine.

Very fresh and young. Very obvious Sangiovese nose immediately. Strawberry, red cherry, red currant mixed with some black pepper and cinnamon. Very clean and bright acidity on the palate. Medium body. There are some edges at the finish. Little bit rough or even abrupt and it didn't last long. 12.5% alc. 2014 vintage

Delicate nose, red cherry and some faint earthiness. Light to medium body, tart cherry, raspberry, bright acidity. Very mild integrated tannins. Better drank with food. Decent, value wine.

Tenuta San Guido's (Sassicaia) third wine with 70% Cab, 30% Sangiovese. Medium red with notes of woodsy dark fruit. Very approachable and easy going. 90
