Shows promise, however, as suggested by a previous reviewer, will benefit from time in the bottle.

My second tasting of Guidalberto and once again it didn't disappoint. Baby Sassicia it may be but in my view it comes close to the first wine.

Thin, closed and very acidic. This is the second I have tried and this one may be slightly better than the first. Tannins are harsh on the palate but difficult to judge because of the acidity. Have reserved it to make Coq au Vin. Needs substantial aging - perhaps for ever.

Cherry red and fruit driven. Still feels quite young and tannic even after 7/8 years but opens up after some time in the glass. Really pleasing with a long finish.

Drinking in its prime right now. 60% cab sauv/40% merlot, from Bolgheri. Mature red and black fruit tones married to dried herbs and silky tannins. Clean on the finish. Terrific.

Needed LOTS of air. Tannic wall to begin with; after 24hrs it relaxed and unraveled. Nice med-full bodied; sweet entry, nice round mid-palate, abrupt ending. Still lots of tannin, but fine and balanced sweetness of fruit (eventually!)

Very dry but dried fruity. Sage, thyme and herbal notes. Slight oaky. Nice drink for dinner
