Complexity is there but tannins are a bit harsh right now. Cabernet /Sangiovese blend from a small family winery in Umbria. Excellent wine worth seeking out, but needs time. 2013 vintage on Sep 16, 2019

Sangiovese blend served from Coravin. Nice nose of black cherry and a hint of clove and sweet tobacco. On the palate is a darker wine, but very fruit forward. Red licorice, overripe raspberry and black cherry. Nice acidity up front. This wine did get a little more dense in the middle, and the finish had a little bit of grit, darker licorice, black cherry and milder black pepper spice. Brought home by my brother-in-law after his visit to this winery in Italy, and now the heat is on to find more as this is my last one!
