Nose has ripe cherry, dried cherry, blueberry mash, dried orange peel, gun powder (?) and baking spice.
Palate has blueberry muffin, ripe plum, dried cherry and ripe black cherry.
65% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot & 15% Sagrantino; 100% Delicious!

Huge cherries. I mean Andre the Giant huge. Spice and licorice and lovely accessibly. So friendly. Red cherries. Amazing fruit. Sick nose. How is this so good? Palate is rich and ripe with wonderful structure and sappy black and red fruits and lovely hit of licorice. Spice on the finish as well. Terrific tannins and great acids. Good concentration. Terrific.

Nice but nothing overly remarkable. Opened 8 hours ahead of time and decanted for 4, as recommended. Definitely some nice cherry and earth on the nose. But for now at least the tannins are pretty muddled and impenetrable, even with the air and even paired with some fatty roasted sausages. And it’s 15.5% which comes through a bit even with a chill.
