With the name Brunello di Montalcino DOCG you can be certain this wine was made with 100% Sangiovese grapes, came from Tuscany, in Central Italy, ๐ฎ๐น and was aged for a minimum of 5 years prior to release, at least two of which were in oak vessels.

The age on this wine shows in its aromas and flavors, which retain some evidence of fruit, but have started to trend towards the tertiary side of things. ๐ทโบ๏ธ
๐ The color is medium ruby with garnet rim variation.
๐ Indeed the nose has a medium(+) intensity of developing aromas. Aromas include baked cherry, strawberry, blackberry, also black licorice, anise, fennel, balsamic, nutmeg, clove, cedar, tobacco, earth, meat, and game.
๐ On the palate this wine is dry. It has medium acidity, a medium(+) body, high alcohol, medium(+) tannins, and medium(+) intensity of flavors consistent with the nose. The finish is medium(+).
