This is a nicely balanced Chardonnay from Napa. Not too oaky, and not buttery at all. Showing lemons, light oak, grapefruits, green apples, spices, white pepper, earth and light vegetables.

Light to medium in body with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.

Dry on the palate with a nice finish.

Good by itself or with food.

Initially I was really impressed with this Chardonnay and its price point. The Carneros region is one of my favorites and it was buttery right from the start which I loved. It's full-bodied with a little toast and apple on the nose but there's a pungency and acid that's slightly harsh; it might have been better earlier because I had paired it with my Dinner which toned down the acid and bite. I do like it and will serve it with food or charcuterie to keep that at bay!
