Nose has fresh sage, under-ripe pear, distant smoke, crushed flint, bruised lemongrass and ginger.
Palate has dehydrated lime, lime zest and candied ginger; being fully transparent this palate is incredibly integrated and difficult to identify the component parts...Wow possibly the best SB from Austria I can ever recall, distinct!
A pick-up from my lovely wife last year, she's got good sourcing and a great palate. ❤️

And I thought Friuli Sauvignon was the secret weapon! Super lush almost connected nose with layers of fruit. Bracing acid, minerality and slight pyrazine coming thorough on the finish. No wonder they don't let much out of the country!

Jun 17th, 2017Radical ability to age. The color is popping fresh, looks like a baby. Nose is another story, really showing yellow fruit and depth, a marmalade idea. So rad, really eye opening

Jun 5th, 2013Candied violet differentiates this from the previous; some pyrazine and honey; only slightly sweaty; much nicer. Gets caramelized shallot-y day two. Bit hot on the finish, enamel feels the acid a bit.
