Telmo Rodríguez
MR Mountain Wine Moscatel
Bringing back Malaga from the dead, Telmo Rodriguez does it again.
Stylistically this is halfway between Sauternes and Pantelleria - combining the waxy creamy botrytis character with the extravagant exotic notes of Passito di Pantelleria. Candid apricot, orange peel, a pinch of spice, overripe peach.
Unabashedly sweet & indulgent but beautifully balanced and nicely poised.
A killer desert wine and quite delicious.

Aromas slightly similar to sauterne (that noble rot smell) bit with candied orange peel, a big body with sweet mandarin oranges in the syrup juice bit with some acid to cut through. My kind of dessert wine!
