M2 de Matallana Ribera del Duero Tempranillo

A deep purple red core, the nose is deep with fresh and ripe blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry, followed by subtle hints of grilled herbs. The palate is medium+ in body, a well balanced, easy going finish. If anything I was looking for a little more structure.

Super ripe fruit.

14.5%.... Really good the second day

Elegant take of Tempranillo. Ripe cherry and plums with oak sensations. Medium to full bodied, high acidity.

Pretty good actually. Second night out of the fridge it opened up and the oak was well integrated. Not too much complexity but what can you expect.

Lots of complexity. Dark red fruit, touch earthy, touch savoury. Quality wine.
