Branco de Santa Cruz Valdeorras Godello Blend
Unique Spanish white. Chamomile, green plum, slate. Reminds me of Condrieu.

A big, silky white with prominent non-friut aromas... floral (almost petrol), herbs and minerals... and hints of yellow apple and lemon. Lush on the palate with some citrus acid and lingering minerals. Paired with halibut cheeks over chevre-sauced pasta. Happy birthday to me!!

Jul 16th, 2023Fun! Nose is quite similar to Etna bianco, stony, slightly floral, with some austerity. Palate is fresh, viscous, minerality with delicate white fruit and more pronounced acid though still relatively moderate

Nov 30th, 2022A blend of 4 grape varieties from Galicia. Typical profile for the region with saline, acid, white fruit and citrus. Not over complex but very pleasant.

Sep 13th, 20222021/1. Super savory, with layers of stone and citrus fruit. This is still one of my favorite Spanish white wines (at least among somewhat “standard” styles, i.e. excluding Tondonia and of course sherry), though my experience is rather limited
