Passionfruit aromas with some oak notes. A little oak maturation fills out the palate and goes part way to quell the Sauvignon Blanc Acid giving the wine a good balance. Delicious drinking while the fruit is fresh. No need for further cellaring IMO.

This Bordeaux style white blend (87% SB, 10% Semillon and 3% Sauvignon Gris) is an interesting study of contradicting nose and palate. Aromatic but reserved, the nose is elegant with tropical and stone fruits and slowly revealed the oak influence (10 month in French oak, 30% New) with toasty nuts and hint of sweet spice. But the palate is bone dry with unforgiving acidity. I was puzzled.

Had the 2014 vintage. A wonderful full nose of bright guava and soft nutty vanilla. Barrel and bottle age very apparent...a touch of wood contrasted with the expected grapefruit brightness of a Kiwi Sav Blanc. Fresh acidity balanced but a soft almond touched finish. An expensive but surprisingly complex Sav Blanc worth every penny.

Rather delicious. Oaked sav blanc with good ageing potential.
