If you want to see the perfect combo of old & new world, go no further. Sure, it's got that petrol, dried field flowers that turns to perfume. But there is something so SB about this wine. Perhaps it's that cool, clean acid that tidies up this immensely complex wine. Graham, you RULE!

I love his wines. But the 12 is tricky. Tasted quite flat at the restaurant Petra’s in Mammoth Lakes which by the way lost Mitch their good Sommelier and the waiting staff essentially knows mountain sports but struggles to explain the wines. Next day still limited it has some ⛽️ petrol but really lacks the flavors which develop with age in Riesling. The classic taste characteristics of old Riesling are missing - avoid.

I am a big Fan of the winery. However while this wine had all the nice hallmarks of an aging Riesling it lacked acidity - sorry I can not give this a high rating - picked too late? Or it was simply not cold enough in 2012 for this grape.

Off dry, thin, high acid wine that is not balanced by much alcohol or sugar /fruit. Its underripe green apple, pear, green string bean, and leather flavors quickly dissipate. Its nose seems more intriguing than its flavors.

Shapeless, thin, high acid wine that's not balanced by much alcohol or sweetness. It has underripe green apple, underripe Anjou pear, green string bean, and leather flavors which quickly evaporate. Will probably not drink again.
