Dark ruby scarlet. Translucent. Really nice nose with notes of red berries, slate stone, menthol, rhubarb, smoke, pepper and a little bacon. Silky smooth in the mouth. Nice fruit and structure. In a great spot.

This is initially a wonderful, pheromon all and barnyard classic Cote Rotie. Then the wine fades rapidly and elements of green olives and green herbal flavors introduce themselves and the wine declines rapidly. Drink it within 20 minutes of opening and it is a true pleasure.
