Talbott
Estate Grown Logan Sleepy Hollow Vineyard Chardonnay
Happy 4th of July to everyone. We have been experiencing a bit of heat here in the Chicago area and I have decided to open the 2013 Talbott Logan Sleepy Hollow Vineyard Chardonnay from the Santa Lucia Highlands of California.
On the nose I am able to tell there is pineapple, lemon, pear, honeysuckle, almond and a good amount of minerality.
The palate has lemon, apple, white peach, pear, minerality and wet flint rock.
This wine is dry, medium bodied whit a creamy mouthfeel and medium + acidity that leads into a mineral driven medium to long finish. Please be safe tonight while enjoying your holiday festivities. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂

Really nice bright flavor but slightly spicy. Can taste the honeydew. Tangerine is almost sour.

Jan 23rd, 2016Great typical Cali Chard with approx 20% new oak. Med acid (almost med+) and high alcohol. Fruit was up to but not including tropical.

Jun 17th, 2015Alright, but not as buttery or oaky as I like, and a bit too acidic. Not much going on here.

May 24th, 2015The best value chard from Santa Lucia Highlands. A really food friendly balance of fruit/oak/acid.
