From Trinchero Family Estates, a blend of 60% Cab Sauv and 40% Merlot, dark Ruby with bold dark fruit and floral spice aromas. On the palate, ripe fruits, blackberry and cherry with espresso, cinnamon and tar notes. Dusty tannins, some oak with earthy tones on a medium plus finish. Nice offering, but I think ‘12 was a bit better! The Merlot makes it good to drink now. Tasting Sample.

Big fruit without being over the top or out of balance. If you like a fruit-forward Californian Red Blend, this one provides good QPR for around $30 retail.

This red blend is fantastic. Great deep, dark fruit flavor, with a little licorice and cedar. Needs to sit in the glass for a good 20 minutes to open up.

A bit too blown out for us. Will try again tomorrow to see if it holds up well or changes or not. OK so day 2, much more developed herbal flavors and tannins. Upped the rating two points to be fair. Good stuff.

Pretty hefty fruit bomb, but nicely blended and very velvety.

Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, coke, light earth, medicine, pencil lead and black pepper.
Full bodied, smooth and bold, with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black plums, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, leather, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and cherries.
This is a great Red blend from Napa Valley. Well balanced with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel. Elegant and very enjoyable by itself or with food.
Good right out of the bottle and better after an hour in the decanter.
Wine Enthusiasts 90 points.
Hugh tannins come in after 2 hours. Definitely needs 3 to 5 years to calm down.
A blend of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Zinfandel, 15% Merlot and 13% Petite Sirah. Aged in French oak barrels.
14.3% alcohol by volume.
