The Ball Buster Barossa Valley Old Vines Shiraz Blend
Tight, tannic Shiraz. Dark fruit and richness to start, becomes calmer and more terroir driven as it breathes. Black olives, mint, cooking herbs, ballsy tannins, and the trademark black pepper.

Happy #ValentinesDay Inky purple color with some sediment left in the bottle when I decanted it. The nose has black fruit and chocolate. There was a little barnyard that blew off with time in the glass. This is a meaty wine with #junkinthetrunk. The palate has jammy black fruit and a little spice. It paired perfectly with #reversesearedribeye. 9 out of 10 #inkyindulgence

A little hot w/ alcohol on the nose. Nose has ripe black fruit. Inky purple in the glass. Juicy, jammy, ripe, and round. This is a pleasant sipper.

Sep 28th, 2018WOWZA: squid ink, super reductive hiding major stuffing here, finally opened to a cornucopia of red & black fruit compote - like pie, licorice, pipe tobacco, white pepper, soil, cocoa and probably a bunch of other notes - impressive complexity & depth, finely grained tannins, not cloying or flabby and flavors carried thru to a reasonably long finish, but length puts wine in overall context, but screaming deal for $

Jun 16th, 2018Oaky, leather, pear, vanilla nose. Nice light touch on tongue then it heats up with full mouth spice. Get rose floral notes, fruit is wide. Really like this one.

Dec 31st, 2017Some darn tasty prune juice you got here. I thought it could use some opening but it is very good. Great with a prime rib, the little bit of cab and Merlot really strengthens the Shiraz. Lovely and powerful. 9 our of ten will definitely drink again.
