Red fruit dominates the nose - cherries and raspberries, mostly - and it is quite earthy. Marselan is a French hybrid, a cross of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. The palate is fresh with acidity and bursting with fruit flavor. There is a touch of oak, but it is not overplayed and it fits well into the wine’s profile. Kosher, imported by Royal Wine.

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Strong nose of blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, spices, medicine, bitter herbs, vegetables, wet leaves and peppercorn.

Full bodied and bold with high acidity and great legs.

Dry on the palate with sour cherries, pomegranates, raspberries, vanilla, licorice, oak, cloves, spices, vinaigrette, tobacco, bitter vegetables and peppercorn.

Long tart finish with fine grained tannins and tart cranberries.

This is a nice surprise. This Single Vineyard Israeli Marselan, is a nice food wine with lots of black fruits, yet earthy. Unbalanced with great complexity. A very unique wine. Tastes like a Merlot based Bordeaux Red.

Needs 90 minutes to open up properly and would pair nicely with BBQ Meats.

Grapes are grown in the Judean mountains at 2700 feet elevation. Unfiltered.

13.5% alcohol by volume.
